Directed by Mani Ratnam, the ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ film franchise has won global acclaim. Trisha Krishnan revealed she had asked to play Nandini instead of Kundavai but was turned down as the director felt only Aishwarya Rai Bachchan could fit the role. Both parts of the film are currently streaming on OTT platforms. The two part has managed to win the hearts of the movie buffs.
