US delegation, led by former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Michael McCaul, the Republican chair of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, met with Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama in Dharamshala. Officials from the Central Tibetan Administration welcomed the delegation at Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra Airport. Following the meeting, Pelosi reflected on her prior visit to Tibet, where she observed the Chinese government’s attempts to eradicate Tibetan culture by restricting the use of the Tibetan language.
