On June 12, Vijay shared the official poster of his upcoming series, ‘Matka King,’ as he started shooting for it. Soon, Tamannaah shared it with fire emojis and wrote, “Uff.” Vijay re-shared her post and reacted with heart emojis, captioning it, “Baby.”

The upcoming OTT series ‘Matka King’ is directed by Nagraj Manjule and written by Abhay Koranne and Manjule.It is set in 1960s Mumbai. The story follows a cotton merchant who creates a new gambling game called Matka. This game becomes hugely popular, breaking down class barriers and becoming accessible to everyone. It also features Kritika Kamra, Sai Tamhankar, Gulshan Grover, and Siddharth Jadhav.

Vijay is gearing up for the release of ‘Mirzapur Season 3’ on July 5, alongside Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, and Rasika Dugal. The first season of Mirzapur premiered in November 2018.
