Shaan began his playback singing career in 1999 alongside KK, who debuted in Bollywood with ‘Tadap Tadap Ke’ from ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’. While Shaan advised KK to adopt a more cinematic singing style, KK stayed true to his authentic voice, which endeared him to a younger generation of composers.
