BAREILLY: A man out on bail after being charged with rape and robbery sexually assaulted a 8-year-old girl who lived in his neighbourhood in a village in UP‘s Budaun on Friday. Some villagers found the survivor on a farm in a critical state and took her to a hospital, where her condition has stabilised.
On Friday, the man lured the girl with sweet corn and took her to a farm, where he raped her and left her to die.The unconscious girl was later found by villagers, who immediately sought medical help. Police said the survivor had multiple injuries on her body, including severe wounds in her private parts that required stitches.
The man, who is on the run, has been previously charged with multiple crimes, including rape and robbery. In 2022, the suspect and his two brothers raped a 60-year-old woman. The trio was booked for gang rape and sent to jail but were granted bail earlier this year.
SHO Udaiveer Singh stated, “He was under the influence of alcohol when he attacked the minor. We have deployed multiple teams to capture him.”
