Avani Lekhara clinched her second consecutive Paralympic gold in women’s 10m air rifle (SH1), setting a new record with a score of 249.7. Mona Agarwal, who began shooting in 2022, earned bronze with 228.7. Avani’s empowering journey started after a car accident at age 11 left her paralyzed below the waist. She made history by becoming the first female shooter from India to win medals in shooting at the Tokyo Paralympics in 2021.
