Veteran Malayalam actress Komala Menon, also known as Neyyattinkara Komalam, passed away at the age of 96 on October 17. She was receiving treatment for heart-related issues in Parassala. Komalam began her cinematic journey at 16, starring in ‘Vanamala’ (1951) and ‘Marumakal’ (1952) alongside Prem Nazir. Her notable roles included parts in ‘Newspaper Boy’ and ‘Aathmasanthi’. Despite her brief career from 1951 to 1955, her impact on Malayalam cinema remains significant.
