Sushant Singh Rajput’s unexpected demise in June 2020 still deeply affects his fans, friends, and family. Marking the anniversary of his passing, actor and close friend Mahesh Shetty posted an emotional message on social media, highlighting the unresolved questions surrounding Sushant’s demise. Even though the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is handling the case, the lack of a closure report continues to spark speculation and calls for justice.
Mahesh Shetty’s Instagram post poignantly addressed the lack of closure in Sushant’s case. “How much longer I wonder? Another year passes by… They said it gets easier and time heals it all but the questions keep pestering, making it even more difficult…” he wrote. His heartfelt message concluded with a plea for justice, “I keep waiting, keep my utmost faith alive in the law of the land but I deserve to know… We deserve to know! #JusticeforSushant.”

It is with great sorrow that we remember Sushant Singh Rajput, who was discovered dead in his Mumbai apartment on June 14, 2020. Initially, the Mumbai police categorized his death as accidental. However, the situation escalated when Sushant’s father complained to the Bihar police, alleging that Sushant’s then-girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and her family had abetted his suicide. This development led to the case being handed over to the CBI for further investigation.
Despite the involvement of the CBI, the investigation has not yet culminated in a conclusive report, leaving many, including Sushant’s family, in a state of uncertainty and distress. Earlier this year, Sushant’s elder sister, Shweta Singh Kirti, appealed directly to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his intervention. On social media, she implored, “I wanted to bring to your attention that this is the 45th month of Bhai’s passing away and we still don’t know any updates on the investigation that is being conducted by the CBI. I would highly request your intervention into the matter because as a family and as a country, we are grappling with so many unanswered questions in this case.”

Shweta’s message to the Prime Minister highlighted the ongoing pain and confusion experienced by the family and Sushant’s supporters. “Your attention will really help us to get to know where the CBI has reached in its investigation. It will even help us to inculcate the faith within our judiciary system. It will really bring peace to a lot of howling hearts who have been looking for some kind of relief, answers, who wants to know the truth, what happened that day on 14th of June,” she added.
Sushant Singh Rajput’s legacy lives on through his films and the memories cherished by his fans and loved ones. However, the quest for answers and justice continues, driven by the determination of those who refuse to let his story be forgotten.
