Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Emergency’ marks a significant milestone in her career as her second production venture under Manikarnika Films, following ‘Tiku Weds Sheru’, and her second directorial effort after ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’. The newly unveiled trailer features Kangana as former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, set against the backdrop of the 1975 Emergency in India. At the trailer launch in Mumbai, Kangana candidly discussed the challenges of balancing multiple roles—producer, director, actor, and writer—highlighting the emotional, mental, and physical toll it took. She noted that maintaining a positive temperament was particularly tough amidst constant setbacks, like scheduling conflicts and weather disruptions.
