Juna Akhara has established a seven-member committee to investigate the initiation of underworld don Prakash Pandey into monkhood within Almora jail. The findings are due in three months. Activists have raised concerns over the legality of this appointment, considering Pandey’s life sentence and numerous criminal charges.
