India is set to impose tariffs ranging from 12 to 30 per cent on specific steel imports from China and Vietnam to bolster local industry. These tariffs, effective for five years, will cover items like welded stainless steel pipes and tubes. This action follows increased scrutiny of Chinese investments after the 2020 border clash.
