The Indian government, through the ministry of coal, is launching the 10th round of commercial coal block auctions to boost coal production. Sixty blocks across states like Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh will be auctioned. This initiative aims to revive dormant mines, increase domestic coal supply, and attract private investment under revenue-sharing models, supporting economic growth and local livelihoods.
