India ranked 105th out of 127 countries in the 2024 Global Hunger Index, classified as having ‘serious’ hunger levels. Nearly 35.5% of children under five are stunted, 18.7% wasted, and 13.7% of the population is undernourished. Despite a slight improvement, GDP growth alone hasn’t significantly reduced hunger levels.
