Cibus in Parma from 3 to 6 May: 70,000 visitors and thousands of foreign buyers are expected

Parma, April 21, 2022 – Cibus is back, the first major international agri-food fair organized by Fiere di Parma and Federalimentare. To twenty-first edition, from May 3 to 6 Thousands of foreign buyers and visitors are expected. This is the leading event for the Italian agri-food sector: a biennial international showcase for many new and sustainable products. There will be more than 3,000 exhibitors of “Authentic Italian” products. In addition, nearly 2,000 major buyers from the United States of America, Europe, the Middle East, South America and ASEAN will arrive. Already registered too 50,000 professional traders Italians in Distribution and Catering, who at Cibus not only serve all their existing and potential suppliers, but find ideas and solutions for all Food & Beverage channels.

Today the program presentation “Destino Cibus”: guided tours and themed itineraries at the fair and in the area, dedicated to typical products, territoriality, far from home and sustainability. Among the many initiatives organized, the “Cibus4Sustainability” project stands out good sustainable practices of industry and distribution, conceived and organized in collaboration with PwC Italia, which will be presented in the presence of national and international retailers and large agri-food companies on the 4th of May.
The “Cibus Innovation Corner” is the fair’s space where the most innovative products will be displayed, selected by a jury of experts. Startups’ product and project innovations will be presented at Le Village by the Crédit Agricole Parma area, with the support of ICE – Agenzia. Finally, it should be noted that 2022 will be the first edition of Cibus “carbon neutral”.
