Bihar Cabinet Approves Key Educational Reforms and Teacher Recruitment Policies

The Bihar Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, approved 43 key decisions, including significant reforms in education and teacher recruitment. Contractual teachers will now have five attempts, instead of three, to pass competency tests. Amendments to teacher transfer policies were also approved, allowing teachers who pass the test to remain in their current posts. The Cabinet also approved the creation of 469 additional posts for Block Minority Welfare Officers to boost services for minority communities. Other decisions aimed at enhancing education, health, and infrastructure were also made.
