Retail investor participation in mutual funds via SIPs hit a record Rs 24,508 crore in Sept 2024, marking the 15th consecutive month of growth. However, equity mutual fund inflows fell 10% from Aug due to weakened interest in thematic and large-cap funds. The industry’s assets under management increased to Rs 67 lakh crore.
