The Tamil period action drama ‘Thangalaan,’ directed by Pa Ranjith, released on August 15, grossed over Rs 40 crore. Featuring Vikram, Parvathy Thiruvothu, and Malavika Mohanan, it portrays the struggles of workers at the Kolar Gold Mines. A Hindi release is slated for August 30, with a sequel announced by lead actor Vikram.
