PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi emphasized the need to upgrade Pakistan’s cricket stadiums to meet international standards ahead of the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. He acknowledged significant gaps in facilities, including insufficient seating, bathrooms, and poor viewing experiences. The PCB is investing Rs 12.8 billion in renovations at Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi stadiums. Naqvi is confident these upgrades will be completed on time, with plans to convert a nearby building into a hotel for teams also under consideration.
